09/06/10 NO SHOWS/CANCELLATIONS
If you decide that Cowboy Fundraising is not something you want to continue to do that is fine....but you MUST finish out what you committed yourself to work or you will NOT BE PAID FOR THE EVENTS YOU WORKED prior to your NO SHOWING or LAST MINUTE CANCELLATION. NO EXCEPTIONS!! This includes any cancellations or no shows within 24 hours of the event. I am sure most of you can understand the position I am put in with the Dallas Cowboys Organization when someone makes the conscious decision to just not show up or cancel the day of the event. Please be respectful and considerate of the other workers.
07/26/10 PAYOUT INFORMATION
The Cowboys goal is to get us paid 4-6 weeks following an event. Many factors affect our timely payouts. First and formost is our ability to balance at the end of the night. It is very important to make sure you ring up ONLY the items being sold and if you make an error...LET SOMEONE KNOW SO WE CAN GET IT CORRECTED. Make sure you count back the customer's change so you do not accidently give them back too much money. WE are a group so if ONE booth is short...WE as a group are short. If we are short, then our paperwork gets put into a "work box" for someone in accounting at the Cowboys to investigate the shortage. It could take them an additional month (or longer) to get to it. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE should ANY of you contact Melissa at Sting directly about your payouts. She will only direct you back to me. I am in charge of the fundraising. She has NOTHING to do with this end of things other than write the checks. She gets the information from ME so if it is incorrect...it is probably something on my end or yours...NOT HERS. Also...do not contact Angie about the payouts. She too has nothing to do with the payouts. All communication should come to me. No one can say that I am not responsive. I answer emails every day. I am happy to help you in any way so do not hesitate to email me with your questions. Thanks.
06/12/10 WELCOME NEW STING CLUB VOLUNTEERS AND RETURNING VOLUNTEERS
It's time again to start signing up for the new Cowboy Season.
01/04/10 ITEMS EFFECTING PAYOUTS
It has come to my attention that quite a few of you are leaving BEFORE your stand leader has told you that you could leave. NO ONE is to leave the stand until your stand has checked up and there is no shortages. Several of the low checks (Seattle being one of them) have been low payouts due to booth shortages. If you leave before your stand leader tells you it is ok to leave YOU WILL NOT BE PAID for the event and you will not be put back on the schedule. NO EXCEPTIONS!!! It is extremely unfair for the remaining workers to stay there looking for the shortage while you leave. If you leave, not only will you not be paid for the event, you may be responsible for any money that is short which means I will not pay you for previous events you worked up to the total amount of money that is missing. Yesterday one of the booths was over $1,000.00 short. Please understand that if it gets turned it that way, that $1,000 comes right off our total amount which can equate to 40-50 bucks a person. One event was over $2,000 short. That is also the reason for the delays in payments. They are trying to find the shortages before taking it right off our payout amount. You can all thank Angie for taking the extra step to stay and help find the $1,000.00. After recounting several times almost all of it was found. You can each help keep the shortages at a minimum. If you make a mistake on the register TELL YOUR STAND LEADER. He/She can correct the miistake. If you see someone doing something wrong tell your stand leader. Most shortages can be found, but they have to be found BEFORE everyone leaves. STAND LEADERS: Do NOT send anyone home until your stand checks up correctly. YOU are ultimately responsible for any money missing when you let your crew leave. No one wants to stay looking for money, but it is better to stay for 30 minutes locating the shortage than for the entire stand to be paid NOTHING because your stand was short. Also, the stand must be cleaned BEFORE anyone leaves. We are charged $100.00 per stand if it is not cleaned properly. If your stand is charged $100 it will come off your stand's payout. Everyone works TOO HARD to have to suffer for a few slackers. I am trying to work with the Cowboys to get some of these issues resolved because I know how hard all of you work. You guys are the BEST workers the Cowboys have. I have NO DOUBT about that and I am not just saying that. I truly believe it, but we have to be proactive and do our part to. I want to Thank each of you for working so hard at these events!!!
